The aircraft was initially scheduled to depart at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, from Accra Kotoka International Airport, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.
According to reliable sources, the flight was rescheduled for the same day at 3 p.m., with all passengers expected to board by 4 p.m. However, safety concerns prevented the flight from taking off as of 7 p.m.
The flight was forced to divert at 8 p.m. since it was no longer able to take off, forcing the passengers to get off the aircraft and sleep.
Passengers were not informed by Delta of the anticipated departure time for the trip on Tuesday, July 4, 2024.
As of today’s press time, Delta, which organized the new trip, stated that the passengers will be transported in groups.
